At the Department of Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine, a full-time temporary postdoctoral position in synaptic neuroscience/two-photon imaging is available for three (3) years.

The position is part of the Top Research (Toppforsk) project “Molecular control of Arc protein: decoding a master regulator of synaptic plasticity and cognition”, funded by the Research Council of Norway. The project is led by Professor Clive Bramham of the Neuroscience Research Group.

The project team is multidisciplinary with expertise in molecular neuroscience, live-cell imaging, electrophysiology, protein structural biology, biophysics, and biochemistry.

The Light Microscopy Facility at HHMI Janelia Research Campus is rapidly expanding its service and instrument portfolio to include fully integrated service to combine lattice light sheet microscopy with expansion microscopy, lattice light sheet microscopy with adaptive optics, in addition to offering many state-of-the-art, commercial instruments.

A post-doctoral position is available at the Emory University Department of Pediatrics in the fluorescence microscopy laboratory studying the mechanisms of enveloped virus entry/fusion and host-pathogen interactions. We employ a variety of quantitative microscopy approaches, including time-resolved single virus tracking, super-resolution imaging, TIRF microscopy and correlative fluorescence-electron microscopy.
