We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral scientist to join our group at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Our group focuses on developing novel optical spectroscopy and microscopy tools for quantitative chemical measurements in living biological systems. A position is currently open for developing nonlinear optical imaging techniques to study cancer cell growth, cell metabolism, and drug-cell interaction. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, physics, or bioengineering. Experience in one or more of the following areas are desired: 1. The Cancer Research Laboratory’s Molecular Imaging Center (MIC) and the new Zeiss Berkeley Brain-MIC, both under the direction of Specialist Holly Aaron, house a total of 18 major microscope systems. The MIC supports over 80 labs on campus, has over 250 users, and trains an average of 10 new users per month. This is one of the largest and busiest microscopy facilities in the country.
